Population

An official Census 2011 detail of Bijnor, a district of Uttar Pradesh has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in Uttar Pradesh. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in Bijnor District of Uttar Pradesh. 

In 2011, Bijnor had population of 3,683,896 of which male and female were 1,925,787 and 1,758,109 respectively. There was change of 17.64 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, Bijnor District recorded increase of 27.59 percent to its population compared to 1991. 

The initial provisional data suggest a density of 808 in 2011 compared to 687 of 2001. Total area under Bijnor district is of about 4,559 sq.km. 

Average literacy rate of Bijnor in 2011 were 70.43 compared to 58.08 of 2001. If things are looked out at gender wise, male and female literacy were 78.70 and 61.45 respectively. For 2001 census, same figures stood at 68.78 and 46.10 in Bijnor District. Total literate in Bijnor District were 2,207,723 of which male and female were 1,284,321 and 923,402 respectively. In 2001, Bijnor District had 1,461,119 in its total region. 

With regards to Sex Ratio in Bijnor, it stood at 913 per 1000 male compared to 2001 census figure of 896. The average national sex ratio in India is 940 as per latest reports of Census 2011 Directorate.
